The World Bank Robert S. McNamara (RSM) Fellowships Program ( RSM Fellowships Program ) is open to women and men of developing nations undertaking PhD research related to development. Applicants should currently be university lecturers or researchers residing in developing countries

Eligibility


To apply for RSM Fellowships Program, applicant Must:

• Be a citizen of a World Bank member developing country;

• Not be a dual citizen of a developed country;

• Be 35 years of age or younger;

• Be enrolled in a PhD program in a member developing country of the World Bank;

• Reside in a member developing country of the World Bank since enrolled in the PhD program;

Have completed all coursework and exam requirements for attaining a PhD;

Have a PhD thesis centered on a field of development.





Scholarship Application Method


This RSM Fellowships Program supports developing country PhD candidates to conduct innovative, development-related, doctoral research under the supervision of a research advisor abroad.

4. Complete the application, refering to the Application Guidelines and FAQs posted above. Please note:

i) The FAQs document is updated regularly to ensure clarity of instructions.

ii) You will be required to upload a proposed budget for RSM financing in the application. The template you are required to use for this budget can be downloaded here.

iii) Regarding some eligibility criteria you may want to refer to the list of World Bank member countries, and to the list of World Bank countries that can receive Bank financing.
