‣ Applications are invited for four full time PhD Studentships in Business Administration in The Department of Business Administration, School of Business, Economics and Law at at University of Gothenburg in Sweden.

‣ An employed doctoral student should primarily devote themselves to their own education. Only a person who is being admitted or already has been admitted to a third-cycle programme may be employed as a doctoral student.


Have what it takes to avail PhD Studentships in Business Administration? 

The applicant must meet both the “General entry requirements” and the “Specific entry requirements”.

‣ To meet the “general entry requirements” the applicant must have:

  • a degree awarded at second-cycle (advanced level), or

  • completed studies worth at least 240 higher education credits, of which at least 60 higher education credits are awarded at second-cycle level (advanced level), or

  • an equivalent level of knowledge acquired in Sweden or in another country.

  • To meet the “specific entry requirements” the applicant must have at least 90 higher education credits in Business Administration or have equivalent qualifications.

Selection Criteria:

‣ The candidates will be evaluated on their ability to benefit from and utilize the research training. The selection of candidates will be based on an overall assessment of submitted documents.

‣ The application shall include the following items:

  • CV, curriculum vitae.

  • A complete, signed and dated application form for admission to third-cycle studies in Business Administration, which can be downloaded.

  • Certified copies of transcripts/academic records/ Diploma/Degree from university/college specifying general and specific entry requirements.

  • An outline of the research area you are interested in (max five pages).

  • One copy of your Master thesis in Business Administration or comparable academic thesis.

  • -Two letters of recommendation and contact information of reference persons.
