NMG-NUST Joint Scholarship Program for International Students in China , and applications are submitted till May 30, 2016. Nanjing University of Science and Technology (NUST) and Nanjing Government have jointly set up the scholarship program for outstanding international students commencing from 2016. Both full and partial scholarships are available for pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate programme at Nanjing University of Science and Technology (NUST). Full scholarship for Bachelor degree only provides to applicants who apply for English taught program. Beneficiaries(Target Groups):  2015 NMG-NUST Joint Scholarship is targeted for International students (non-Chinese) can apply for these scholarships.

Benefits(Value/ Inclusions):

 Award No:  PhD Degree: Full scholarship 30, Partial scholarship 10;

-Master Degree: Full scholarship 60, Partial scholarship 40;

-Bachelor Degree: Full scholarship 120, Partial scholarship 60.

NOTE: Full scholarship for Bachelor degree only provides to applicants who apply for English taught program.

 Scholarship Duration:  -Doctoral Degree Students: 4 academic years

-Master’s Degree Students: 2.5 academic years

-Bachelor’s Degree Students: 4 academic years

Note: Scholarship students must be reviewed annually for the academic performance and other performances. Scholarship will be terminated if the student fails to fulfill the requirements

.-Applicants who have applied for Chinese instructed courses are required to provide either HSK certificate or official credential letter; otherwise one-year complementary Chinese Language course is added to the stated study period. The tuition of Chinese Language course is covered by scholarship.

‣ Scholarship covers:  For Postgraduates:-Full Postgraduate Scholarship covers: Tuition (including laboratory experiments, Internship, and basic learning materials), On campus dormitory accommodation, Single room for PhD students, Double-bed room for Master degree student

-Living allowance: CNY 2,000/month for PhD students: CNY 1,700/month for Master degree student, Foreigner’s Comprehensive Medical Insurance (Group Insurance), One-off settlement subsidy for new postgraduate after registration: CNY 1,500, Note: By showing Family Membership Certificate issued by China Embassy or General Consulate, married postgraduates who carry with family members can ask for accommodation allowance from NUST. CNY18,000 per year for PhD students; CNY 9,000 per year for Master degree students.

-Partial Postgraduate Scholarship covers: Tuition (including laboratory experiments, Internship, and basic learning materials) or Foreigner’s Comprehensive Medical Insurance (Group Insurance)

-For Undergraduates: Full undergraduate scholarship covers: Tuition (Foreigner’s Comprehensive Medical Insurance (Group Insurance) and On campus dormitory accommodation) bed room ; Partial undergraduate scholarship covers: (Tuition or Foreigner’s Comprehensive Medical Insurance (Group Insurance))

Description

NMG-NUST Joint Scholarship student’s affairs are managed according to the relevant regulations of NJMG-NUST Joint Scholarship.

‣ Scholarship students must go through the Annual Review of the NJMG-NUST Joint Scholarship Status.

‣ Scholarship will be terminated if the student fails to fulfill the requirements. Applicants can submit the application materials to the School of International Education, Nanjing University of Science & Technology, by post mail or in person.

Eligibility

Have what it takes to avail NMG-NUST Joint Scholarship?

‣ Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens who are in good health.


‣ Education background and age limit


‣ Applicants for undergraduate programs must have senior high school diploma when register and be under the age of 28.


‣ Applicants for master degree program must have bachelor degree when register and be under the age of 35.


‣ Applicants for doctoral degree program must have master degree when register and be under the age of 40.


‣ Agree to obey the relevant laws of the PRC and meet the admission requirements of the host university.


‣ Applicants must have a good academic record and merits.


‣ Applicants should not be the awardees of other scholarships offered by Chinese government or local governments at the same time.


Selection Criteria for NMG-NUST Joint Scholarship

‣ All NMG-NUST Joint Scholarship recipients should participate in the Scholarship Annual Assessment.

‣ The International Student Office will conduct a comprehensive review of the scholarship recipients’ academic performance, learning attitude, attendance, behavior, rewards or punishment received in June each year.

‣ In terms of academic performance, the recipients are required to achieve the minimum grades.

Notification:

‣ The result will be published on the university website in June 30, 2016 and sent to applicants via E-mail (please ensure your email address is correct).

Scholarship Application Method

‣ Applicants are required to submit the application materials to the School of International Education, Nanjing University of Science & Technology, by post mail or in person. 

‣ NMG-NUST Joint Scholarship Applicants must provide the following documents (each in duplicate):
-

  • Application Form for Nanjing Municipal Government – Nanjing University of Science & Technology Joint Scholarship Program for International Student (download: application form from the official website) filled in Chinese or in English.

  • Photocopy of the applicant’s passport.
- Highest diploma (notarized photocopy). If applicants are university students, they must also provide documents showing their status as university students or School Transfer Certificate. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with translation in Chinese or in English.

  • Applicants for doctoral studies need to provide notarized copies of their undergraduate and graduate transcripts.

  • Applicants for master degree studies need to provide notarized copies of their undergraduate transcripts.

  • Applicants for bachelor degree studies need to provide notarized copies of their high school transcripts.

‣ Scholarship Applications are due on May 30, 2016.
