Award No: The Frankfurt School awards a maximum of three scholarships every year for each of the mentioned study master programmes a number of scholarships for Bachelor programmes.

Scholarship Duration: Scholarships are awarded initially for a period of two semesters and are only extended if candidates perform to the standards required by the respective study programmes.

Scholarship covers: Bachelor scholarships consist of tuition reductions of 25% or 50%, in exceptional cases up to 75% (scholarships for alumni of the START Fellowship includes full tuition waivers). This waiver applies to tuition for all regular semesters at Frankfurt School plus any mandatory semesters abroad at one of exchange partner institutions. All tuition fees at Frankfurt School are waived for Master scholarship holders. If the scholarships are split, then a 50% tuition waiver is granted.

The Frankfurt School awards each year scholarships ( 2015-2016 Frankfurt School Scholarships ) for several Bachelor and Master study programmes.

Frankfurt School Bachelor Scholarship Programme: To support outstandingly qualified candidates, Frankfurt School maintains a Bachelor Scholarship Programme. Frankfurt School offers two types of scholarships:

-General scholarships will be awarded to highly qualified candidates. Criteria include school grades, performance in the Frankfurt School admissions process and extracurricular activities. Frankfurt School wants to further increase its diversity. Women and candidates from outside Germany are therefore particularly encouraged to apply for a scholarship.

-Special scholarships for the 2015 intake these are: Scholarships for graduates who have completed or are about to complete the IB Diploma Programme may apply for this scholarship; Scholarships for graduates currently enrolled at a German School Abroad (Deutsche Auslandsschule, as recognized by the Zentralstelle für das Auslandsschulwesen) and those who have completed their secondary education there; Scholarships for alumni of the START Fellowship to support students from immigrant families in Germany who are particularly active in voluntary work, Frankfurt School offers up to three scholarships for alumni of the START Foundation Fellowship programme.

Frankfurt School Scholarships – Master: The aim of the Frankfurt School funding programme is to provide especially talented candidates with an opportunity to study irrespective of their financial circumstances.

Eligibility

2015-2016 Frankfurt School Scholarships include :

‣ Master scholarships: Selection criteria include candidates’ academic results (marks at A-Level or equivalent, or grade of first degree), performance in the Frankfurt School selection procedure and candidates’ personal details (extracurricular activities, social commitment, intercultural skills, international experience and, if relevant, professional experience, internships). 

‣ Diversity and social aspects may be taken into consideration in the case of equivalent qualifications.

‣ General scholarships: Criteria include school grades, performance in the Frankfurt School admissions process and extracurricular activities. Women and candidates from outside Germany are therefore particularly encouraged to apply for a scholarship.

‣ Scholarships for graduates of the IB Diploma Programme: Students who have completed or are about to complete the IB Diploma Programme may apply for this scholarship.

‣  2015-2016 Frankfurt School Scholarships for graduates of German Schools Abroad (Deutsche Auslandsschulen): These scholarships are open to students currently enrolled at a German School Abroad (Deutsche Auslandsschule, as recognized by the Zentralstelle für das Auslandsschulwesen) and those who have completed their secondary education there.

‣ Scholarships for alumni of the START Fellowship: To support students from immigrant families in Germany who are particularly active in voluntary work.

Selection Criteria for 2015-2016 Frankfurt School Scholarships

‣ These scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic results.

Notification:

‣ Applicants who apply for master program will be notified by the Frankfurt School by 31 July 2015 at the latest if they are being considered for selection.

Scholarship Application Method 

‣ For master scholarships, candidates apply to the study programme. 

‣ It is not possible to submit a separate application for a scholarship. 

‣ For Bachelor scholarship, they apply for a scholarship at the same time you apply for admission.

‣ Applications for admission are accepted up to one year in advance and Frankfurt School decides based on preliminary grades, so there is no need to wait until you have your final school leaving certificate.

‣ When applying for a scholarship you will be automatically considered for both the general scholarships and any special scholarships that match your profile.

‣ Scholarship Application Due Date : The application deadline for Bachelor scholarship is 31st May 2015. The complete application for the study master programme must be submitted by 30 June 2015.
